Our Skid Pan is located at the Sutton Road Driver Training Complex, conveniently situated between Canberra International Airport and Queanbeyan. It's only a 15-minute drive from the center of Canberra and easily accessible from the Federal Highway or Sydney (2 ½ hours).
The skid pan is a kidney-shaped, purpose-built circuit with a smooth concrete surface that becomes extremely slippery when wet. Rest assured, the skid pan won't damage your car or wear your tires since the surface provides very little traction. The area is surrounded by high-grip concrete, minimizing the risk of vehicles leaving the circuit. To ensure ample space and safety, we only allow a maximum of two vehicles on the circuit simultaneously.
Important Notes:
- All vehicles must be registered as per the training facility's requirement.
- Registration checks will be conducted on the day if necessary. Unregistered vehicles will not be permitted to participate. Participants are solely responsible for any property damages.
- Vehicles must not exceed a noise limit of 85db at 30 meters. If your vehicle has a modified exhaust, we recommend checking this prior to attending the skid pan.
