Richie is a calm, thoughtful and deeply supportive driving instructor who takes the time to explain every concept clearly and without pressure. His gentle, steady approach helps students feel safe, understood and genuinely encouraged, whether they’re learning a new skill, tackling a tricky manoeuvre, or working through driving-related anxiety. Learners consistently describe Richie as someone who builds both confidence and competence, making him a favourite among students who value patience and reassurance. Richie is also bilingual, he speaks Khmer (Cambodian), Vietnamese as well as English.
Richie has experience working with our NDIS clients, especially young men with ASD. Richie’s calm demeanour, predictable communication style and ability to create a low‑stress learning environment allow his students to feel grounded and in control. He adapts his teaching to each learner’s needs, offering structure, clarity and unwavering support. His students appreciate that he never rushes them and always celebrates progress, no matter how small.
Richie’s commitment to helping others extends beyond the car. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer, which reflects his teamwork-oriented mindset and steady focus. He also values time with his family, grounding him with the warmth, patience and empathy that shine through in every lesson he teaches.
